Our Story

From Backyard Beginnings to Industry Leaders

Homestead Cabinet & Furniture began in 1987 in a backyard shed, founded by Mark Humpherys, Randy Humpherys, and Kirk Bailey. Their early focus on innovation set the tone for the future—becoming the first in Utah to implement CNC router technology for cabinet manufacturing. This forward-thinking approach helped propel Homestead from modest beginnings into a growing force in the industry.
In the early 2000s, Homestead made reclaimed wood a core specialty, opening doors to high-end markets in Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming. As demand grew, so did the company’s focus on fully custom, high-quality cabinetry. Around this time, Klay Grover and Tyson Davis joined the team, working in nearly every role over the years and contributing significantly to the company’s evolution.

Since becoming CEO and COO in 2018, Klay and Tyson have strengthened Homestead’s culture of ownership and innovation. Today, the company thrives with a fast-growing dealer network, cutting-edge order entry software, and a continued commitment to excellence. With an eye on the future, Homestead is poised to keep elevating the experience for its dealers, employees, and customers.
